israel 5x7

in 2010 I traveled to israel to create portraits of christians, jews, and muslims in jerusalem-- east, west, and old. each morning i loaded 12 sheets of 5x7 film into their holders and sought out a new neighborhood and waited. speaking no hebrew or arabic i waited for those that approached me and I simply asked to take their portrait. The young, the old, the religious, and the secular all stood for me so you could see residents of a riven city.
